Joint Management Committee

The meeting to discuss the setting up of a Joint Management Committee took place 11th August. At that meeting it was suggested that we all get together to discuss other home-owner concerns we may all have, and to get to know each other so that we can figure out who should or wants to step forward to volunteer as JMB members.
It has been agreed that we can use the Multi-purpose hall free of charge for any residents meetings, so what are we waiting for....?
Comments please. Poll too!

Is anyone else fed up with having to go downstairs every time a visitor comes?
I've never lived anywhere before where you have to go to the gate to let people in, especially when they are contractors and service men.

ha! ha! 1st time staying in a condo so no problem for me. Yes it is a bit tiring but don't mind this small hassle for the security it rewards ... I cannot imagine anyone and everyone having free access to my floor ... that will give me sleepless night everytime I hear the elevator goes "ting".

Yes, I love Ken 2's state of security!

I supose I am outnumbered then, and majority rules :) I have lived in other places with v good security guards and no problems with break ins, and that still meant I could have friends over or deliverys without having to meet them at the gate, rain or shine. I am fine with keeping the cards, but maybe the guards could let people up if checking who they are visiting that could keep us all happy.
I am happy I am only in block A - shorter walk!

we wish we didn't have to go downstairs to let people in too. At our old place the guards would send people up. Wish they would do that here but once you get used to it it's not so bad. unless it's raining and the guards haven't let the guests wait at the entrance.

Well...

I have to say its quite simple to have good security with out residents having to go down every time.

1. guest or delivery boy reports to guard house.(takes ic card)
2. guard house calls residents to confirm visitor.
3. residents confirms guest by name or delivery boy by company.
4. Guard escorts guest/delivery boy to lift.
5. guard uses his card to send guests/delivery boy to correct floor Only
6. hey! delivery boy or guest is received by resident. Minimum fuss

guest/ delivery boy is unable to visit any floor except for specific floor (via security) ground, lg1, lg2 sweet secure and after a hard days work I can relax and know security are actually working hard and have direct contact with all visitors to Ken 2.

good eh!
